Patricia J. Gerrick Chief Investment Officer
Pat is responsible for directing all of Progress’ investment activities. She serves on the firm’s Management Committee, chairs its Investment Committee and leads the Allocation team in charge of the analysis and evaluation of funded accounts. She most recently served as Howard University’s Chief Investment Officer through a customized outsourced relationship, overseeing both endowment and pension assets. Prior to that, Pat served as the Deputy Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer for the State of North Carolina, where she was responsible for the investment platform across all asset classes, investment team structure and development, and performance of pension assets, defined contribution investments and short term cash. During that time, she also served as a member of the Virginia Retirement System’s Investment Advisory Committee. Prior to her role in North Carolina, Pat was the first Chief Investment Officer for the Indiana Public Employees’ Retirement System. She has also held investment officer positions with the New York State Common Retirement Fund, the Kansas City, Missouri Pension System, and within Treasury for the Sprint Corporation.
Pat holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.S. in Economics from Fisk University.
